ALEXANDRA ALVAROVÁ is a specialist in political marketing and propaganda. Since 1995, he has been publishing popular and professional articles on media theory, in recent years mainly studies focused on the effectiveness of online manipulation and political propaganda in the past and present. In the same area, she is also a sought-after lecturer and author of popular lectures for the public. She is the author of two books on the same subject: The Industry of Lies and Feeding Demons.

KAROL FABIÁN is an associate professor at the Department of Security Studies at Matej Bel University, Director of Matej Bel University’s Center of Excellence for Crisis Management, and Co-Director of the UMB Data&Society Lab. His research interest lies in Strategic management of cybersecurity and Computer simulations of crisis situations. From 1974 to 1993, he held various senior research appointments at the Czech Technical University, ETH Zurich, TH Eindhoven, and the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where he was the Principal Investigator of the Multiprocessor System SM 53/20 project. From 1989 to 2003, he was a delegate of the Slovak Republic in the International Federation for Information Processing’s Technical Committee for Communication. From 1993 to 2013, he was the Director of IBM Slovakia and Industry Team Leader. He is the author and co-author of several monographs, scientific articles and papers at domestic and foreign conferences. He is currently the principal investigator of the Cognitive Analytics project for Real-World Security Threats, supported by IBM Global University Programs, USA.

GERULATA TECHNOLOGIES (https://www.gerulata.com/) is a technology company based in Bratislava, Slovakia. They specialize in developing software for STRATCOM and OSINT professionals.

ALISON GOLDSWORTHY (Ali) has been a political adviser and campaigner for more than twenty years. Her focus for the last seven years has been on polarisation, how do disagree healthily and bridge divides – a theme explored in her debut book Poles Apart. A former Deputy Chair of the Liberal Democrats, she led the team that built the fastest-growing campaigning organisation in the UK. In 2017 she was a Sloan Fellow at Stanford, co-creating its first depolarisation course. A board member of the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust, and a Senior Research Associate at The Intellectual Forum, Jesus College, Cambridge. Alison has won numerous awards for her work. She has fronted shows for BBC Radio 4 and written for the TelegraphIndependentNew StatesmanThe Times and Financial Times

Ali lives in California with her husband and son. In her spare time she is a mediocre powerlifter

JOZEF MICHAL MINTAL is an assistant professor at the Department of Security Studies at Matej Bel University. He is also a Fellow at the Center for Media, Data and Society at Central European University and a Research Fellow and Co-Director of the UMB Data&Society Lab, where he is working within the IBM-funded CARWST research project. He was educated at Matej Bel University and King’s College London. His research focuses on international cyberpolitics, particularly on the IR aspects of cyberspace, disinformation, and social media. Prior to academia, he worked in NGOs in the fields of foreign and security policy and innovation.

TOMÁŠ KOLOMAZNÍK is the executive director of the Center for Security Analysis and Prevention (CBAP). He is a member of the security community at the Geneva Center for Security Policy Alumni Association. He participates in various international projects in the field of security and international policy. It deals with cyber security, misinformation and hybrid threats.

ŠTEFAN SARVAŠ is a fellow expert working with the Center for Security Analysis and Prevention. Devoting long-term effort to connecting behavioral science, artificial intelligence and marketing communication. A member of the Growth Legacy Strategic Program team, a join-venture incubator of Mars Inc and Ehrenberg Bass Institute for Marketing Science, the project focusing on driving strategic changes in markets with growth potential. Previously, the head of Mars Wrigley Market Intelligence team and Mars Europe Pet Care Market Research team. He has led numerous projects in the area of communication, neuroscience, decision making in over 50 countries, including European markets, USA, China, Australia, Mexico, Brazil and Japan.  

ERIC SINGLER is the Managing Director of the global market research and consultancy group BVA (www.bva-group.com ) as well as the founder and CEO of the BVA Nudge Unit which is one of the worldwide leaders in the application of Behavioral Science ( www.bvanudgeunit.com ).Eric is a pioneer of utilizing behavioral economics learnings and Nudges to win at behavioral change and one of the most experienced practitioners with hundreds of missions conducted with public policies, Fortune 500 companies (L’Oreal, Chanel, Danone, Bristol Myers Squib, BNP Paribas…), NGO (Green Peace, WWF…) and international organizations (UN, European Commission). He is the author of 3 books specializing in the application of Nudge: “Nudge Marketing”, “Green Nudge” focused on sustainability and “Nudge Management” focused on creating a better work environment. Eric is also the host of the podcast B.E.GOOD! where he speaks with the Behavioral science stars (Dan Ariely, Cass Sunstein…). Eric lives in Paris France.

SCOTT YOUNGtransitioned to a full-time focus on Behavioral Science after 20+ years leading Perception Research Services (and later PRS IN VIVO), a Top-25 global insights agency. Scott brings experience successfully growing and managing a mid-sized business globally, including building a winning team, managing global client relationships, and representing the organization (via articles, webinars, podcasts, and presentations). He also has specialized expertise in both Consumer Insights and the emerging field of Behavioral Science, which he has applied to support both consumer- and employee-focused initiatives (including diversity/inclusion, sustainability, and digital adoption). In his current role, Scott works effectively on Boards, in both an Executive and an Advisory capacity.
